I was born and raised in Wautoma and recently moved back after living in Florida for 8 years.

I discovered watercolor while studying for my master art diploma. I'm primarily self-taught, but I've studied under various artists, including Tom Lynch. I've been painting watercolors exclusively for 15 years, and won 1st place for watercolors in 2004 at the Venice-Nokomis, FL Rotary Art Festival, and 3rd place in 2005 at the Englewood, FL Fine Arts Festival.

I enjoyed teaching watercolor to adults and children while in Florida. I'm partial to landscapes and light and shadow play an important role in each painting. I love watercolor because of the subtle nuances that can't be achieved in any other medium. I'm inspired by the beauty of nature and am compelled to try to recreate it on paper.
