Club Meeting Minutes
Rural Rembrandt Board Meeting
Feb. 9th, 2010, Library Meeting Room
Present were Verona Morgan, Nancy Smith, Carole Olson and Lauren Radke
President Verona Morgan called the meeting to order at 1:30 pm
2010 Workshops: The sheet that was passed at the Nov. 2009 meeting was discussed. Ideas for workshops suggested by the members were: watercolor, abstract, David DeBolt (acrylic), oil, pastel, and individual members demonstrating their favorite medium.
Library Board Meeting: Carole Olson discussed her planned presentation to the Wautoma library board regarding the Rural Rembrandts displaying art in the library. The meeting will take place March 10th, 2010 at 4 pm.
Grant: Carole Olson announced that we did not receive the grant from Alliant Energy. The recipients of the grants can be viewed on the Alliant Energy grant website.
Notecard Contest: The entries for the contest will be viewed at the next Rural Rembrandt meeting on April 27th, 2010.
Board Meetings: We voted to have board meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1 pm at the Wautoma library meeting room.
New e-mail: Nancy Smith has a new e-mail address nancylsmith@centurytel.net
Westfield library: Verona Morgan announced that the Westfield library would like to have a Rural Rembrandt display for the month of March.
Easels: Carole Olson volunteered to talk to the city regarding the storage of our easels.
Memorial: We spoke with a librarian regarding the Rural Rembrandt club contributing to a memorial in honor of Beth Knuth. The type of memorial has not yet been chosen and the library will inform us when a decision has been made.
Dry erase board: Nancy Smith volunteered to look for a dry erase board at the County Cupboard for the club.
