My main interest is photography. As a freelance writer, I started taking 35mm photos to illustrate some of my articles. Later, I did most of the color photography for a book I wrote on antique costume jewelry. My love for photography really blossomed after I purchased my first digital camera. I had instant feedback and could take as many shots as I wanted because the “failures” could just be erased! I recently purchased a smaller camera that I carry with me in my purse so I always can pop it out when a photo op presents itself. I especially like floral and fauna subjects, landscapes and travel photos. My life’s passion is scrap booking, which fits in nicely with my photography as I never run out of pages to be scrapbooked!

My husband and I moved to Cedar Springs Lake, Neshkoro three years ago. I joined the Rural Rembrandts a year ago and have already taken part in several shows and sold my first two pieces! I have learned a great deal from the demos and workshops regarding color and composition and new materials. I am now the club Secretary.

When younger, I did freelance writing and raised a son and a daughter. Later I went back to school for a master’s degree and worked as a librarian and elementary school Media Specialist. I also spent a few years selling items on Ebay. I have three grandchildren who are growing up so fast. My granddaughters are favorite photo subjects. My husband and I love to travel but move at a snail pace. We especially like the Costa del Sol area of Spain and Guadalajara, Mexico. This year we are going to concentrate on parts of the USA that we haven’t yet seen. You can contact me at lsallee@hotmail.com
