My professional career has been in the graphic design/advertising field. I’m a 1971 graduate of Layton School of Art in Milwaukee where I majored in visual communication and studied painting under Guido Brink and Ralph Thomas. Prior to entering Layton, I spent two years in the US Military Army Police Corps and served a tour of duty in South Vietnam. I have owned and operated Designcor, a graphic design studio located in Glendale, since 1982. My commercial work has won numerous creative awards and has covered the full realm of advertising and design: ads, magazines, catalogs, displays and branding.

I resumed painting a few years ago to occupy time while recovering from an anticipated surgery. My approach reflects my strong commitment to good design and solid composition. The paintings

are abstract in nature and are saturated with bold colors

and texture.

The medium is acrylic on canvas board with some Prisma Colored Pencil. Sizes range from 9” x 12” to 20” x 30”.
