Visual art is the culmination of one person’s personal interpretation of their world through the manipulation and use of medium and materials.

I came to understand that statement from having been an art educator for six years. Children, and indeed all people, in some way link the process of making art to their own lives.

For me, the link is an appreciation of the beauty that is around us at all times. A beauty that is often missed because of the busy lives most of us lead. My goal is to find those moments and capture them in paint. When the viewer gets a sense of awe looking at one of my paintings, then I know I’ve successfully captured and shared a sublime moment of time.
